If placed on one side will it face up at an angle, for use as a stage monitor/wedge? (The angled corners suggest possibly not, or an illusion).

on May 13, 2022
BEST ANSWER: it does sit at an angle. I have not yet used them as monitors. I did set mine on the floor to see how it would work. It seems ok. It might require a wedge to help keep it at an angle. I’m sure some cardboard and tape would make a nice prop. They are very light. Good for transport but, The weight might have helped keep it tipped at the angle. They do look very similar to the 10” alto. That I have seen used as floor monitors. I wish my answer was better.
However, my opinion, for the price point and sound quality I think it would work with a bit of stage engineering. My wife and I lead a worship team for a church and I’m now considering using them as monitors.

Some added info concerning your question... The speaker does not have any 'feet' on either side. It's very likely putting the speaker on its side would mar it quickly. I would suggest putting some black, self-adhesive rubber or felt material to not only protect the cab's finish but also reduce resonating vibrations from placing the unprotected side of the speaker on a hard surface.

Yes, the SRD210 will lie on its side, with the front angled up like a stage monitor. ( I have a photo, but sadly there’s no way to upload it as part of my answer.) I haven’t used it this way, but I might in the future if the need arises. I don’t think the speaker is designed to be used in this way, but it works ok.

It will face upwards about 10°. i.e., the angle between the side/base it would rest on and the front face is about 80°, so the face of the speaker and driver axis will be angled about 10° elevated from vertical.

This is exactly how I'm using this powered speaker - as a stage monitor set on the long edge at an angle so it's tilted up at the singer. Works great for this application!

Could I connect an electronic drum set to this?

It'll be too loud close to the speaker and not loud enough far away. The best way to cover large areas is with more speakers/subs placed evenly across the listening areas and dial in delay from your P.A. based upon their distance from the source speakers. That way you will hear balanced/sync'd sound at every location across the space. There is a formula on Google for delay of soundwaves, in milliseconds, if you know the distance in feet from the main speakers. It works great if you know what you're doing. :-)

Line and Microphone Input XLR work great. Is there a way to Get Line Out? I Need Line Out to connect a Subwoofer Amplifier
Joseph R
on May 6, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Yes. There is an XLR in plus there is an XLR out right on the back of the speaker. The XLR out is labeled "Mix out" on the back of the speaker. But it is better to allocate your subwoofer to a dedicated output from your P.A. rather than daisy chaining it inline with this speaker. That way you have separate volume & EQ for your subwoofer.

it has a mix out but it ignores the volume controls. great for chaining speakers but driving a sub would be at full volume regardless of volume set at the individual speaker.

BEST ANSWER: Your best bet for using them for this scenario would be to buy the stereo direct box (#600122), connect your audio source to it, and then run a mic cable to each of the two speakers. BEST ANSWER: Hi, thank you for your inquiry. For the best possible sound quality from your BOSS eBand JS-10, you must use the RCA LINE INPUT on the SRD210 speaker. This is the only correct choice. This input has a preamp designed for a weak guitar or mic signal. Plugging your eBand's strong line-level signal into it will overload the input, causing harsh distortion and clipping. I hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, thank you for your inquiry. Use the RCA LINE INPUT on the SRD210 speaker. This is the simplest, most correct, and lowest-noise connection for your setup. Your eBand JS-10 has RCA Line Outputs. The SRD210 has RCA Line Inputs. This is a perfect match in both connector type and signal level. A line-level signal is what the speaker's internal amplifier expects to receive for proper volume and tone.

I'm considering buying one or two of these speakers for a friend to sing karaoke in the livingroom. Is any of the DSP decent for singing karaoke? Thanks.

Can the SRD210 be used with a standard pole mount ? Or do you have to purchase a set of from Monoprice ?

For the price point on this particular speaker, PA speaker you can't beat it. It's a simple as that.

Stage Right 10in Powered Speakers
Purchased 2 of these Stage Right 10 in powered PA speakers for my personal Jam Room. Paired up with a Mackie 10 channel mixer. I love em! Great bang for your buck!!! Very solid sound from them. But one annoying thing is the low hiss they have when turned on. That hiss though has zero effect on performance. Thumbs up!!!

FLEXIBLE
I've never really thought much of this - it's my spare - until the day I used it as an extra monitor on stage pointing at the drummer. I was off to the side running the sound and was directly in front of this ... and I was astonished at how GOOD it sounded. The drummer was freaking BEAMING, too. (love it when I make the musicians happy).
I'd never given it a chance. The evaluation I'd done initially was too low volume to give it a chance to open up.
A very good value.

not bad.
Have all 3 sizes. real power ratings are 200, 300, 350w rms.
The middle size one is kinda the sweet spot, more power but not overly heavy. also this smaller one does have slight noise.

Great value for the price
Fantastic value for the money. Very good build quality. Sound is not quite as clean as a QSC, but you can get 4 of these for the price of one of those!

Awesome value, awesome product.
I love the SRD-210 powered speaker. It's a great value, puts out great sound, and is not too heavy. It has no EQ controls so you'll want to feed it from a mixer. I use it as a floor wedge monitor speaker in front of a performer, but I had to build a little cradle to make it aim more upwards toward the close-in performer. It also has a socket for mounting it on a stand. This is my 3rd different Monoprice product and I'm very happy with all of them. Years ago I proudly called myself a 'K-Mart Shopper'. Now I'm a proud 'Monoprice Shopper'!

Great Value, solid quality. Sounds great, using as a stage monitor and as a speaker in home gym.
